The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Patch 1.05 is for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game. The update was already rolled out to the PC version last week as patch update 1.06.
Aside from bringing tweaks in the design and gameplay, the patch also improves stability in gameplay and the user interface. It also addresses the bugs and glitches found in the game, making it run much smoother and with fewer lags.
Different fixes were also applied to glitches found in the different in-game quests. For example, the update fixes the endless loading screen when fighting the Ice Giant during the “Lord of Undvik” quest, and also the lack of interaction with Roche on Oxenfurt Bridge in the “Get Junior” quest. In addition, the gate in the crypt now works correctly during the “Scavenger Hunt: Viper School Gear” quest.
Aside from the specific quest fixes, the new console version patch also repairs some general bugs in the game, like main character Geralt’s clothes being always wet when leaving the menu. Also, the Potion of Clearance glitches are now fixed; and skills are removed properly when the item is used and are no longer automatically placed in the Quick Slot of the player’s inventory. Meanwhile, mutagen bonuses are now saved properly, and Gold no longer resets beyond 65,535.
In addition to the new patch, fans can also expect a new batch of DLCs to arrive for “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” as part of CD Projekt Red’s 16-part free content for its players. According to reports, the scheduled new DLCs this week will involve add-ons for the islands of Skellige, including a new quest and new armor set.
