At Gamescom in Germany, Sony announced that the PlayStation 4 has sold over 10 million units since it launched less than nine months ago in November 2013. By comparison, it took well over a year for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 to break 10 million units sold.
Sony’s console was the best-selling console in July and it was also the home to the best-selling game – The Last of Us Remastered.
PlayStation 4 has now sold 10m consoles worldwide, Sony announced this week. Recent numbers for Microsoft’s Xbox One are more illusive.
