Epic Games is running a special event to encourage players to make Fortnite content for the internet.
This could be video makes, live-streamers, artists, and even cosplayers who dress up like Fortnite characters.
During the event, players who purchase V-Bucks (a virtual currency) will be able to donate money to creators they like.
The event runs from the Fortnite update on the week of October 8, right through to December 31, 2018.
Fortnite Support-A-Creator event – how does it work?
For every 10,000 V-Bucks you purchase, you’ll be able to hand over $5 (or the rough equivalent) to a creator of your choosing.
When buying V-Bucks, you’ll simply enter their Epic Games username via the “Support A Creator” button.
You can find this in the Item Shop in Battle Royale, or in the Loot tab in Save the World.
That person will then become your designated creator for 14 days, and will receive a cut of your purchases.
After the 14-day period, you’ll be able to choose a new creator to support.
