Nintendo fans were excited back in July 2017 when the Japanese gaming company filed a trademark application for the N64 in Europe.
Now there is even more reason to get excited, as the application has been accepted.
Could this mean the N64 Classic Mini is on its way?
The Nintendo 64 was the third video game console launched by Nintendo in 1996.
The popular console was discontinued in mid-2002.
While a comeback of the N64 has not yet been officially confirmed, the N64 Mini will likely be another miniature console with a hefty library of iconic games.
It should hopefully have the same iconic look as its full-sized predecessor, but fit neatly in the palm of your hand.
Potential games:
For some the N64 had some iconic games they will be itching to play again.
However, keep in mind some classic N64 games are now Microsoft IP such as GoldenEye, Diddy Kong Racing and Perfect Dark.
That means Nintendo would need to get permission to release these on the N65 Classic Mini.
• Mario Kart 64
• Super Smash Bros
• Kirby 64, Yoshi’s Story
• Mario Golf
• Star Fox 64
• The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
